Tally
It's time to settle the score.
Two numbers. One winner. Plenty of ways to meddle.
Tally is a print-and-play arithmetic card game with vintage charm and a competitive streak. Start at zero, reveal a prime Target, and race to make the two values equal. The twist? You can change either number.
Build your way toward the Target—or bring the Target down to meet you. Every card is another chance to close the gap, upset someone’s plans, or discover that your brilliant move just helped the next player.
How to play
Deal each player 5 cards, set the Tally to 0, and reveal one prime Target.
On your turn, play a card on either the Tally or the Target, apply its operation, and draw back up to 5 cards.
- Red cards: +2, +5, +10, ×2, and ×3.
- Black cards: −2, −5, −10, ÷2, and ÷3.
- Wilds: Choose any operation of the matching color.
- Reverse: Change the direction of play. In a two-player game, skip your opponent.
- Play 2: Play two cards on your turn.
Division must produce a whole number, and negative values are fair game. If you have no legal play, draw one card. You may play it immediately if it’s playable; otherwise, your turn ends.
The first player to make Tally and Target equal wins immediately.
A little elegance. A little interference.
Cream cards, red and black operations, and navy-and-gold ornament give Tally the feel of a classic card game—with a mathematical tug-of-war at its heart.
Print it. Cut it. Shuffle it. Settle the score. Literally.
